    excellent analysis once again. I am particularly disappointed by a lack of ambition on MPE instruments. If I take the example of the Push3, they probably wanted to stay on a format that facilitates transport to the detriment of a much larger pad which would have facilitated the expression of such an instrument. I am a guitarist, and the width of the neck allows us expressiveness on the tension exerted on the string. It therefore seems logical to me that a certain control surface should have a certain standard for isomorphic keyboards. We also need to standardize to allow us to create the habits necessary for working on the instrument to achieve virtuosity. Any piano requires space, and if we consider Ableton as an instrument in its own right, it actually needs a very large surface area to have direct access to all the possibilities offered.

    • @SoundSimulator
      @SoundSimulator 28 дней назад

      I never had a chance to play with the Push before so I appreciate hearing your experience on it. I'm also a guitarist, so I tend to want to do a large gesture when performing on these new controllers as well! Glad to hear that this video resonated with you and thank you for sharing thoughts :)

      @@SoundSimulator Hi, for my part I addressed and resolved another aspect linked to the way in which guitarists work and communication with their daw. My big problem is that I want to sell my idea to Ableton and for 2 years almost 3, they have not wanted to receive me, nor even listen to what I have to offer. I have a very bad time and I don't understand this refusal on their part. I think this is due to the fact that I am an unknown person, without studies, and who works alone in my corner. For my part, I do not have the financial means to protect such an invention. And which can be copied by other manufacturers with the necessary financial and legal resources in a very competitive environment. If you have any ideas on this subject I am interested, thank you

      @@SoundSimulator Appreciate the reply but the video doesn't go into detail about what those objects are doing, just how to download the externals for them, but the moocow external doesn't seem to be around anymore. @@soundproofskin Sorry, it's been a while since I made the video so I forgot that I didn't go into detail. I have no clue as to how those objects work, but I think there was a discussion about them on plugdata's discord (I think there was a talk about a substitute too?). I definitely recommend checking out plugdata to see if those externals come packaged with it. And if not, I suggest joining their discord to see their discussion about the substitute. I apologize that I can't help further.

I'll take a look at that Discord. Thanks for your help.

    • @SoundSimulator

      Indeed!! As for that question, I haven't done actual sound design work for film nor games so I can't be that insightful. I think sound designers will use recorded sounds as much as possible. In Farnell's sound design book, I think there was a mention of older gaming hardware having memory limitation so creating sound effects with synth was the way to go.
